ILO maps out technological transformation in Public Employment Services

Abstract

The ILO global survey on the �Use of technology by public employment services (PES)� found that all 75-surveyed PES in 69 countries are already experiencing a technology transformation, although with varying degrees of development and investment. This survey is part of the ILO�s future of work agenda for employment services and was applied with support from the World Association of Public Employment Services (WAPES). PES see technology as a vehicle to increase performance and expand service coverage; respond to changes in clients' expectations; enable inclusive service delivery; and reduce operational costs.
