Abstract
Government data work has evolved over the past decade, with improved visualizations enabling collaboration between public, private, and nonprofit sectors. States are investing more in data capabilities, and experts believe data's evolution in the public sector is ongoing. Better data use has the potential to enhance government services and storytelling, facilitating better decision-making internally and externally. To secure federal funding, governments increasingly rely on data-driven narratives. Collaboration and data sharing between departments are essential to tackle complex issues, and predictive analytics and AI are becoming more relevant for efficient governance.
