Oklahoma Executive Order 2023-24

Abstract

This executive order establishes the Governor's Task Force on Emerging Technologies to study and make policy recommendations on the responsible deployment of AI and GenAI in the executive branch of Oklahoma until December 31, 2023. The Task Force, led by the State Chief Information Officer, will focus on principles, governance frameworks, workforce education, and efficiency enhancement. Comprising eleven members, the Task Force will submit findings and recommendations by December 31, 2023. State agencies are directed to designate an AI and GenAI expert by November 1, 2023, with the Office of Management and Enterprise Services providing support for the Task Force. The order emphasizes cooperation from all state entities.
