Abstract

This report details the fiscal year 2023 activities of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Criminal Invsestigations (CI) division. CI is the only federal law enforcement agency that spends 100% of its time on financial investigations and is responsible for conducting financial crime investigations, including tax fraud, narcotics trafficking, money-laundering, public corruption, healthcare fraud, identity theft and more.
