Abstract

NIST has teamed up with Georgetown University's Beeck Center and the Center for Democracy and Technology to adapt digital identity guidelines for state and local benefits programs. Their collaboration aims to create voluntary resources that help public sector organizations enhance security and equity in benefit delivery, addressing concerns over fraud, cybersecurity threats, and biases in identity verification methods used during the pandemic.
